Tumblr, it’s been a while…

So much has changed this year. So far I’ve spent 3 months in France training to be a ski instructor and met some amazing people along the way. I’ve decided completely against going to uni, instead I’m going to carry on training to be a full time instructor and attempt to live the dream.

This starts 8th June when I head down under to teach for their ski season and I cannot wait! So far, everybody who I’ve spoken to about Australia has told me that I’ll never come back. ~~I don’t want to.~~ There’s nothing for me in North Wales. I want to travel, to teach and explore. Sitting at home for the next few weeks is fairly miserable, my friends are either revising or at uni and because I need to save money I’ve hardly seen them. I miss my skiing friends too, how it was acceptable to permanently wear a hat, no make up and dance on tables at 3 in the afternoon.

I was always the sensible one, the clever one and expected to do the right thing, like university, I am so glad I never did. I know I’ve let people down and I’m sorry too but I don’t for a second regret it. Life is too short. Break the rules. Enjoy every moment.

Last night was one of the funniest nights of my life. Although I hardly remember much, I’m covered in bruises and the lens is now permanently stuck out on my camera it was a brilliant New Years Eve. Now its time for a nap before all my family come round for tea just about when my hangover kicks in..

I’d been hoping The Courteeners would be touring before Christmas so I could go to a few gigs and visit my friends in uni. But no, they’re touring bang in the middle of my 2 week skiing exam. The only date I’d be able to make is 16th March in London and that would mean booking a flight home and losing out on a few weeks work. I’m so gutted.

This weekend has been one to remember. The Courteeners on Friday which was absolutely brilliant, 7th time and they just keep getting better! Ending up on my own in Liverpool afterwards instead of Chester wasn’t exactly my plan but it was all worth it. It was nice to see all the Superdrug girls last night too although town was awful. I came home after ranting about how much I hate the music they play, something along the lines of “auto tuned shit with no meaning”. The Black Keys and The Maccabees this week shall definitely cheer me up!
